Snow what? We don’t care about the weather!

We are officially declaring the 2018 golf season underway.

We know there’s a good possibility there’s snow on the ground, depending on where you live in PA, but the pros are teeing it up in Hawaii.

So forget about grabbing a shovel and pick up your putter instead. A little practice makes perfect. And, before you know it, you’ll be back out on the course to start the 2018 season right here in the Keystone State.

And what a year it is going to be. Renovations are taking place at courses all around the state, and we’re also attracting some quality tournaments to our area.

First on the list, the LPGA’s Symetra Tour is coming to Raven’s Claw. The event, one of approximately 22 official qualifying tournaments for players aspiring to compete on the LPGA Tour, will be held on May 24, 25 and 26. As a special added attraction, Montgomery County’s own Emily Gimpel, above, is expected to play in the tournament.

What snow?

Jeffersonville Golf

We’ve known it for years, and now word is getting out.

Golf Digest just named Jeffersonville, or Jeff as it is affectionately known by regulars, as one of the top 25 courses in America that give you the ‘best bang for your buck.’

Jeffersonville Golf Course has long been a local favorite, and a test for golfers at every level. The course underwent major renovations back in the early 2000s, adding nearly 60 bunkers and returning the course to its original Donal Ross design, and now township officials are preparing for a major renovation to the clubhouse, pro shop and banquet facilities.
