WAGT partners with the PGA Tour

The newest member of the GolfPA family is making waves!

We are excited to announce that the PGA Tour has now added the World Amateur Golfers Championship on its official partner site. PGATOUR.COM is the world’s leading golf website and is visited by millions of fans, PGA tour players and sponors each year.

World Amateur Golfers Championship is the largest and most prestigious Amateur golf tournament in the World.  It’s currently being played in over 40 countries, with more countries working to became part of the event in the future. The Tournament is open to all players, male or female, with a handicap of 25 or better.  Players compete in the following flights; 0-5, 6-10, 11-15, 16-20 and 21-25.  One winner from each flight will advance from their National Championship and represent their country at the World Final.  The local country will pay for all expenses, including airfare, hotel, golf, food etc. thus making the players feel like a pro for one week. Past host countries include US, South Africa, Thailand, Spain, Turkey, Dominican Republic and more.

Mr. Arnold Palmer as well as Princess Birgitta of Sweden are Patrons of the event and LPGA Hall of Famer Annika Sorenstam is Honorary Chairman.

World Golfers Championship is organized by World Amateur Golfers Tour USA (www.WAGTUSA.com) in the US. WAGT USA is running local events across the country all year long, leading up to a National Final. More information can be found on their website.
