Aerated greens and course responsibility

Aerated green

It’s that time of the year again…or is it?

When does your club aerate their greens?

When should they?

We know the course superintendents know best, but should they tell us what they know?

How many times have you booked a tee time only to find out, after you’ve walked up to the green at the first hole, that they’ve recently aerated. And of course, the following put looks more like a jumping bean than a perfectly rolled putt.

We believe courses should tell players, when they’re booking tee times, that the greens have been aerated.

What do you think?
